RAWALPINDI: In the 28th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Multan Sultans have set a target of 186 runs for Quetta Gladiators. The match is being played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Batting first after winning the toss, Multan Sultans scored 185 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Mohammad Rizwan was dismissed cheaply, scoring only 4 runs. Opener Yasir Khan was the top scorer with 45 runs, while Jahanzeb Sultan contributed 25 runs.
Other notable contributions included Tayyab Tahir with 36 runs, Shahid Aziz with 29, Humayun Altaf with 16, and Peter Hatzoglou who managed just a single run.
For Quetta Gladiators, Usman Tariq claimed 3 wickets, while Mohammad Wasim, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, and Khurram Shehzad took one wicket each.
Earlier, at the toss, Multan Sultans’ captain Mohammad Rizwan said the team would aim to finish the league stage with a win. Quetta Gladiators’ captain Saud Shakeel stated their goal was to win the match and qualify for the playoffs.
