QUETTA: On the orders of Balochistan Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar, the health department has formed special monitoring teams to assess healthcare facilities in the province. These teams will inspect healthcare centres across the province from May 12 to May 22.
The department’s spokesperson said the goal is to assess performance and improve services at district hospitals, Basic Health Units (BHUs), and Rural Health Centres (RHCs).
Secretary of Health Mujeebur Rehman approved a notification for the initiative. It outlines the formation of six teams made up of over 30 officers.
Each team includes program coordinators, deputy directors, and senior officials. They will inspect the district headquarters hospital, at least one RHC, and two BHUs in each district.

The teams will also check the progress of health programs. They must coordinate with local health officials and submit detailed reports.
