BLA releases captured police officers in Mangocher; Terrorists with US-made weapons

MANGOCHER: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a proscribed terrorist organization, has released several Pakistani police officers who were earlier abducted in the city of Mangocher.

There is some visual evidence emerging from the incident that has sparked fresh concerns, as armed BLA militants were seen carrying US-manufactured military-grade weapons, including M16A4 assault rifles and an M4A1 carbine equipped with Trijicon ACOG scopes.

The BLA has long been designated a terrorist organization by the government and various international bodies, including the United Nations.

The group has been involved in a series of violent attacks targeting security forces, government infrastructure, and civilians across Balochistan.

Furthermore, the latest visuals showing BLA fighters with sophisticated US-origin weaponry have raised new questions about the source of these arms.

So far, government officials have not yet mentioned how the militants obtained these weapons, but investigations are underway. International security experts warn that such developments can further destabilize the region and complicate counterterrorism efforts.

In addition, Balochistan has been the center of a low-level insurgency for years, with groups like the BLA seeking separation from the state through violent means.

The government has stressed its commitment to maintaining law and order in Balochistan and dismantling the networks of banned outfits.
