Pakistan intercepts Israeli-made Indians drones across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan intercepted and destroyed 25 Indian drones that entered its airspace in an apparent attempt to target military installations. resultantly, three people were killed and seven others, including four soldiers, were injured.

The Pakistan Army mentioned that the drones were shot down in multiple areas, including Lahore, Attock, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, and Bahawalpur in Punjab, as well as Sukkur, Umerkot, and Karachi in Sindh.

In this sense, military spokesperson Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that while most drones were neutralised without hitting their intended targets, one drone managed to cause partial damage to a military installation near Lahore, injuring four army personnel. 

Police reported that two other civilians died in separate incidents—one in Attock and another in Rawalpindi after drones crashed in civilian areas.

Furthermore, in Lahore, three drones were destroyed near Walton and Burki. Two crashed in Walton and one in Burki after being intercepted by security forces. In Rawalpindi, a drone crashed near the Pindi Cricket Stadium on Murree Road, killing one man and injuring two others. 

In Attock’s Fateh Jang tehsil, a farmer lost his life after a drone crashed near Jabbi Kasran. Despite efforts to save him, the injured man succumbed to his wounds at a nearby hospital. Gujranwala witnessed the destruction of three drones in various parts of the district. 

Moreover, in Gujrat, remains of a drone were discovered in Peer Jhand village. In Bahawalpur, a drone was intercepted in the Cholistan desert, with debris falling in the Chapoowala area within Yazman tehsil.

Karachi also reported drone crashes in the Malir district. One drone damaged the roof of a house in Sharafi Goth, while another fell in a hilly area near Gulshan-i-Hadeed. 

In Umerkot, a drone crashed near the village of Sufi Akbar close to the Chhor cantonment, again without causing harm
