Pakistan downs 12 Indian drones in multiple cities: DG ISPR

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s air defence systems have successfully intercepted and shot down 25 Indian drones that violated its airspace since last night, confirmed the Pakistan Army on Thursday.

Pakistan has shot down three more Indian drones near Walton area and around Lahore, sources confirmed. Three drones were downed in Rawalpindi.

Security forces say that after failing to achieve any kind of air superiority & getting 5x jets smoked, including Rafale/SU-30MKI/Mirage-2000/Mig-29, IAF launched a Suppression of Enemy Air Defense (SEAD) and Destruction of Enemy Air Defense (DEAD) Operations last night/ongoing.

Till now, Pakistan Air Defense Command has successfully managed to shoot down almost all “Loitering Ammunition/UAS” [Type IAI Herop, rest unknown], not a single hit has been achieved at any significant site [AD Sites, Strat Locations/etc].

Decision: “Haste makes waste”, our response will come at a time & place of our choosing, & we will keep playing on our own pitch, as getting trapped into others pitch is “someone else’s” forte.

Earlier, addressing the media, the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, confirmed that the drones were attempting to infiltrate various regions across the country and were neutralised in areas including Lahore, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Bahawalpur, Miano, Karachi, Chhor, Rawalpindi, and Attock.

He revealed that one of the drones crashed near Lahore, while the rest were taken down near Rawalpindi, Chakwal, and Karachi. The drone attacks led to injuries of four Pakistan Army personnel in Lahore, and tragically, one civilian was martyred in Miano, Sindh.

Lieutenant General Chaudhry emphasized that the Pakistani armed forces remain fully alert and ready to respond to any threats, condemning India for targeting mosques and civilians amid the ongoing hostilities.
