LAHORE: Three loud explosions were heard on Thursday morning, after which the air defence system shot down an Indian spy drone in the provincial capital of Punjab province, Lahore, Pakistan.
India continued to violate Pakistani airspace. It is the fifth Indian drone shot down by Pakistan in the last 12 hours.
Earlier, air defence system deployed in Gujranwala Cantonment became active and successfully shot down an Indian drone attempting to violate Pakistani airspace. In the last 12 hours, surveillance drones, in all probability Indian, have been shot down in Gujrat, Khariyan, Gujranwala and Kharian.
Three explosions were also heard in Lahore. Images uploaded by residents of the area showed smoke rising from near the old airport. The nature of the blasts, however, is yet to be ascertained.

Local police confirmed the debris of the drones, while an official statement was still being awaited.
