KARACHI: Pakistan Navy has released high-resolution surveillance footage showing the movement of the Indian Navy’s P-8I aircraft during the night of May 4–5, 2025. The release comes amid intensifying allegations and military alertness following the tragic Pahalgam Valley attack in India on April 22, which claimed the lives of 25 Indian Hindus and one Indian Muslim.
The incident, which shook the Pahalgam region in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), was immediately attributed to Pakistan by Indian authorities. In addition, within just 10 minutes of the attack, India registered a formal First Information Report (FIR) against Pakistan, sparking outrage in Islamabad due to the absence of any concrete evidence.
The government of Pakistan has categorically rejected the allegations, terming the incident a “false flag operation” designed to further political motives of India’s BJP-led government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is often accused of leveraging nationalist sentiments ahead of elections.

Furthermore, India’s repeated threats to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty have further inflamed tensions, with Islamabad viewing the threats as coercive tactics aimed at regional destabilization.

In this sense, Pakistan Navy officials confirmed that they have been closely monitoring Indian naval activity in the Arabian Sea. The surveillance footage released today shows the Indian Navy’s P-8I maritime patrol aircraft operating near Pakistan’s Exclusive Economic Zone.
However, Islamabad calls for an impartial international investigation into the Pahalgam incident, officials continue to mention Pakistan’s desire for peace, but with preparedness for war if forced upon them.
For now, both nations appear locked in a dangerous standoff, with the eyes of the international community watching closely.
