OIC Slams India’s baseless allegations on Pakistan

NEW YORK: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states, in a joint statement issued in New York, expressed grave concern over the deteriorating security situation in South Asia.

The OIC group firmly rejected the baseless allegations made by India against Pakistan, warning that such unfounded accusations only serve to inflame tensions in an already fragile region.
In its joint declaration, the OIC group condemned India’s inflammatory rhetoric and aggressive actions, stating that such behavior further destabilizes the already volatile security environment in South Asia.

The group reaffirmed its unequivocal rejection of all forms and manifestations of terrorism and opposed any attempt to associate terrorism with a specific country, religion, ethnicity, culture, or nationality.

The statement emphasized that unresolved disputes—particularly the longstanding Kashmir issue—remain the root cause of insecurity and instability in the region.

The OIC group voiced deep concern over the continued denial of the inalienable right to self-determination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and called on the international community to recognize and support the legitimate aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
The OIC also acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan’s measured response and its consistent efforts to seek peaceful and diplomatic solutions.

The group noted that Pakistan has shown restraint and remains committed to advancing peace in the region in accordance with international norms and principles.
The statement further welcomed the constructive role of the United Nations Secretary-General and urged the international community, including the UN Security Council and influential global powers, to take immediate and meaningful action to ensure sustainable peace and stability in South Asia.
Reaffirming their unwavering support and solidarity with Pakistan, the OIC member states called on India to cease its hostile rhetoric and provocative actions in order to pave the way for lasting peace and cooperation in the region.
