KARACHI: Indian flights are facing severe difficulties and losses after the closure of Pakistani airspace for Indian flights continues.
According to reports, After the incident in Pahalgam area of occupied Kashmir and Indian aggression towards Pakistan, the Islamabad decided to close the Pakistani airspace for the Indian flights. 10 days have passed since the closure of Pakistani airspace for Indian flights and 1150 Indian flights have been affected.
Indian airlines have faced a loss of more than 225 crore Indian rupees in the last 10 days.
The closure of airspace has affected the flights of Air India, Akasa Air, SpiceJet, Indigo Air, Air India Express as Indian planes have to fly halfway through India and over the Arabian Sea.
Reports disclosed that the financial loss due to the doubling of fuel and other operational costs of Indian airlines on long routes has caused a lot of trouble, and Air India has been hit the hardest.
Similarly, all Indian airlines flying from Amritsar, Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Bangalore, including other cities, are facing a loss of crores of rupees daily. Due to the closure of Pakistani airspace, flights of Indian airlines from Delhi, Mumbai, Amritsar, Bangalore and Ahmedabad to the US, Europe and the UK are being diverted.
The crew of Indian flights going to the US is having to be changed to Europe. Due to double landing and refueling, Indian airlines are also facing a loss of crores of rupees daily in terms of airport charges.
Indian passengers have started preferring flights of other countries instead of Indian airlines and Indian passengers have erupted against the Modi government when the duration of flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Amritsar, Ahmedabad to the US, UK and Europe exceeded 10 hours.
Indian passengers are also facing difficulty in getting refunds when flights are cancelled by Indian airlines.

It should be noted that Pakistan has initially decided to close its airspace to Indian aircraft for a month from April 23 to May 23.
Sources said that the closure of Pakistan’s airspace in 2019 had caused a loss of 700 crore Indian rupees to Indian airlines.
