QUETTA: Another injured person who was burnt in the Nushki oil tanker blast has died in a Karachi hospital, taking the death toll in the incident to 13.
While talking to local news channel, Edhi officials confirmed that 33-year-old Jahanzeb who was burnt in the explosion inside an oil tanker near Nushki area of Balochistan has died.
After the incident, 24 injured persons were shifted to Karachi, bodies of 13 were taken to their native places after ghusl and shroud
Those who died from burns in the tragic incident include Mahmood Ahmed, Tayyab Karim Shah, Jahanzeb Anwar, Salman Akhtar, Aziz Ahmed, Muhammad Faiz, Abdul Basit Rafiq, Mustafa Agha Muhammad, Tanveer Karim, Aminullah Khaki, Shakir Abdul Malik, Idrees Nabidad and Jahanzeb Shahzad.
It is worthy to be mentioned here, last week the deadly Nushki oil tanker incident occurred when a powerful explosion inside an oil tanker sparked a massive fire.
The flames spread rapidly after the explosion and engulfed nearby areas, injuring dozens of people. Most of the injured sustained critical burns and some of the critical injured were shifted to Karachi for treatment care.
The rescue teams had rushed to the site immediately after the explosion and started a firefighting and evacuation operation. The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.
