ISLAMABAD: The Director General of India’s Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) was removed from his post after the secret RAW document on the Pahalgam attack was leaked.
According to reports, Lieutenant General DS Rana was forcibly transferred to Andaman and Nicobar (aka Kala Pani). Rana’s transfer is being linked to secret RAW documents, which were also obtained by TRF and shown to the whole world.
The Indian government faced embarrassment over the leaked document and the world community raised question over the India’s intensions and baseless accusations against Pakistan after the Pahalgam incident.
The leaked document of RAW disclosed the role of military and security agencies in high-level false operations. The leaked file was given for the personal protection of General Rana.
According to the Indian government investigation, leaked files from General Rana’s office reached the media, which led to an immediate order to remove General Rana from the DIA.
General Rana was transferred to Andaman and Nicobar, a harsh military station with diseases, isolation and inadequate facilities. General Rana’s disrespect and such a dishonorable removal from power will put a mental strain on the Indian leadership and soldiers.
It is worthy to be mentioned here that at least 26 tourists were killed and 20 others were injured in an attack in Pahalgam area of Indian occupied Kashmir.

The Indian PM Narendra Modi chaired a high-level defense committee and announced to annul the Indus Water Treaty and cancelation of Pakistani citizens visas.
Following the Pahalgam incident, the India government blaming the attack with the cross-border activities and started blaming Pakistan for the attack. However, Pakistan political and military leadership rejected the India’s accusations and demanded an impartial investigation of the incident.
