ISLAMABAD: Victor Gao, a well-known Chinese analyst and former diplomat said that if any country attacks Pakistan, China will stand by the long-standing friend to ensure its defense.
Giving an interview to Indian media, Victor Gao said Pakistan is our brother and long-standing friend, and we will support it in its defense.
Former Chinese diplomat has showed great concern over the deteriorating situation between India and Pakistan, adding both countries have nuclear weapons and they have fought several wars. Both India and Pakistan should be asked to find a peaceful solution.
Victor Gao said that we have lost many Chinese citizens in terrorist attacks in Pakistan but we have asked for a full investigation into what is really going on behind the scenes, who is pulling the trigger and who is responsible for these atrocities. China is applying the same principle to this recent attack as well.
He further said that India, Pakistan and all other parties should work together to get to the bottom of this matter. We should demand an impartial, full and comprehensive investigation into the background of this attack, before any country uses this attack as a pretext to incite tension or even conflict between India and Pakistan.

China and Pakistan are all-weather partners and ironclad allies. No one should doubt this alliance between China and Pakistan. Whenever Pakistan’s sovereignty or territorial integrity is threatened by any country, China will always be there to help and support Pakistan, Victor Gao said.
