QUETTA: Security forces in Balochistan have busted a network facilitating the illegal entry of Afghan nationals through the Dana Sar By Pass Joint Check Post in Sherani district of Balochistan.
Following an intelligence-based operation, security forces detained 103 Afghan nationals, including women and children.
The Afghan nationals were detained during an operation in the Dana Sar bypass area of Sherani district, the sources said.
According to security sources, the detainees were handed over to local police authorities for further legal action.
The Afghan nationals were allegedly being transported through Pakistan to Iran and then onward to Europe with the help of human smugglers, the sources said.
The latest arrests have taken the number of undocumented Afghan nationals detained in Balochistan over the past week to 129, according to security sources.
The sources said security forces were continuing operations in border areas to prevent human smuggling and illegal movement.
They added that security forces were taking measures to enforce the law and curb unauthorized movement in border regions.
