RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has announced a public holiday on September 23, 2026, to mark the country’s 96th National Day.
The Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has confirmed the holiday for employees in both the public and private sectors, according to Arab media reports.
The holiday will fall on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, corresponding to 12 Rabi al-Thani 1448 AH, the ministry said.
Authorities said the National Day holiday has been announced under Article 24 of the executive regulations of Saudi Arabia’s Labour Law.
Saudi Arabia celebrates its National Day every year on September 23. The occasion commemorates the unification of the Kingdom and is marked by celebrations and events across the country.
The announcement provides employees in both sectors with a day off as Saudi Arabia prepares to celebrate its 96th National Day.
