KARACHI: Tragic murder of mother and three children in Karachi Surjani Town has sent shockwaves through the metropolis after the lifeless bodies of a woman and two of her children were recovered from a residence, while an 18-month-old infant succumbed to critical injuries at the hospital.
According to details, the heart-wrenching incident unfolded in the Surjani Town area of Karachi, where local authorities and police teams rushed to the scene following the grim discovery.
The deceased mother has been identified as Mehvish, while her innocent children who lost their lives include five-year-old Hasnain, six-year-old Kashmira, and 18-month-old Ashmira, whose injuries proved fatal despite emergency medical intervention.
Law enforcement agencies have taken the bodies into custody, secured the crime scene, and launched an exhaustive investigation into the motives behind this tragic murder of mother and three children in Karachi Surjani Town.
According to preliminary police investigations and the husband’s statement, the victim, Mehvish, was 34 years old.
The victims suffered blunt force trauma to their heads from strikes with a stick or heavy object. SSP West Tariq Mastoi visited the crime scene to inspect the location and issued directives for the swift arrest of the perpetrators.
The bodies of the victims have been transferred to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
According to the statement given to the police by the woman’s husband and the victims’ father, he had gone to drop off his employer and, upon returning, found that no one was opening the door despite repeated knocking.
