QUETTA: The district administration of Surab held its first-ever grand open court for women to hear their concerns and address their grievances.
Deputy Commissioner Surab Shahzada Najeebullah chaired the session.
FC Balochistan 61 Wing Commander Colonel Syed Fakhar Rafiq Talha, Additional Deputy Commissioner Salman Ali Buleedi, Assistant Commissioner Akbar Ali and DSP Bilawal attended the event.
District officials from several departments also participated.
Teachers, female students and hundreds of women attended the open court. They presented their concerns directly to the district administration.
The participants raised issues related to electricity, gas, the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), the Benazir Income Development Programme, a family park, a public library, a shopping centre, education, healthcare, NADRA services and clean drinking water.
The deputy commissioner listened to the women’s complaints and directed officials from the relevant departments to take immediate action on their applications.
He said resolving women’s problems and providing them with basic facilities remained a priority for the district administration.
He added that the administration was using all available resources to address public grievances. He also assured the participants that women’s complaints and suggestions would receive priority.
Najeebullah said the administration would continue practical measures to promote development in Surab and address public concerns under the BSDI programme.
He said the district administration would work with relevant institutions to resolve public issues promptly.
