GWADAR: The Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) has completed the upgradation of the Young Jan Volleyball and Futsal Ground, enhancing the facility ahead of the Mir Kalmati Inter-Educational Institute Sports Festival 2026.
GDA Director General Moin-ur-Rehman Khan visited the upgraded sports facility and reviewed arrangements for the upcoming festival. During the visit, preparations for hosting the educational institutions’ sports event were assessed.
The renovated ground now features expanded playing areas designed to provide more suitable space for sporting activities. The facility has also been equipped with spectator seating, a pavilion and improved lighting, along with other essential facilities.

The upgradation is expected to provide local athletes with better conditions for training and competition while improving the venue’s capacity to host sports events. The preparations for the Mir Kalmati Inter-Educational Institute Sports Festival 2026 are being carried out at the upgraded facility.
Gwadar Sports Facility Boosts Opportunities for Local Athletes
The development of sports infrastructure in Gwadar provides an improved venue for athletes and educational institutions participating in sporting activities. The enhanced facilities are also intended to support the organization of sports events at the local level.
Meanwhile, sporting activities also continued in Naseerabad, where the first Jashn-e-Naseerabad Football Tournament 2026 featured another competitive fixture.
In one of the tournament matches, Dera Defenders Football Club secured a 2-0 victory over Shaheed Abdul Basit Football Club. The result added another competitive encounter to the ongoing football tournament.

Guests attending the match highlighted the importance of encouraging grassroots sports and creating opportunities for young players from Naseerabad.
