Major Causes of Deadly Accidents in Balochistan: A Critical Infrastructure Crisis

The frequent occurrence of catastrophic traffic accidents across Balochistan underscores a persistent and deep-rooted public safety crisis. Long stretches of vital regional transport arteries, such as the single-lane and heavily congested highways linking remote districts, witness continuous heavy traffic moving alongside high-speed passenger and commercial vehicles.
Infrastructure deficits, including narrow road designs, absence of proper dividers, lack of adequate street lighting, and minimal adherence to traffic regulations, create high-risk environments prone to lethal collisions.

Furthermore, the unchecked movement of overloaded commercial vehicles, fuel-transport pick-ups, and long-distance transport often strains road safety limits.

Drivers navigating these expansive, poorly maintained routes frequently face fatigue, while the lack of rapid emergency medical infrastructure along remote stretches exacerbates fatality rates.
