SWABI: Heavy rain triggered flooding in several parts of Swabi district, inundating homes and disrupting traffic on key roads, rescue officials said.
According to Rescue 1122, floodwater entered several houses in Mansabdar village along Mardan Road after heavy rain caused flooding in the area.
Floodwater also swept across Jahangira Road, Khandah Mor and Anbar. Several feet of water accumulated at these locations, bringing traffic to a halt.
Rescue 1122 teams reached the affected areas soon after receiving reports of flooding. They launched relief operations and moved several people, including women, from their homes to safer locations.
Rescue officials said they had placed all relevant teams on high alert due to the continuing risk of heavy rain and flooding.
They said teams were closely monitoring the situation and remained ready to respond to further emergencies.
