BOLAN: According to Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) authorities, an 18-inch diameter gas pipeline was completely destroyed in an explosion triggered by planted explosive devices near the Gokurt area of Bolan, resulting in a major suspension of gas supply across several districts in Balochistan.
The sabotage incident disrupted gas transmission to various areas of Quetta, as well as Kolpur, Mach, Mastung, Kalat, Pishin, and Ziarat.
According to official statements from SSGC, the targeted segment of the pipeline is situated 800 meters away from the national highway.
Following the blast, SSGC technical teams and repair crews were put on standby and will dispatch to the site immediately upon receiving formal security clearance from law enforcement agencies.
Repair work and restoration efforts will commence as soon as the area is cleared of potential secondary threats.
