PORT OF SPAIN: Pakistan defeated the West Indies by eight wickets in the second Test match in Port of Spain, successfully leveling the two-match Test series 1–1.
Chasing a modest target of 75 runs, Pakistan comfortably reached the objective with the loss of just two wickets. Opening batter Imam-ul-Haq was dismissed for 9, while Azaan Awais scored 18.
Captain Babar Azam and Abdullah Shafique then guided the team home, both finishing unbeaten on 24 runs each, with Babar Azam sealing the victory by hitting Jomel Warrican for two consecutive sixes.
Earlier on the fourth day, the West Indies resumed their second innings at 103 for six but collapsed quickly, adding just 14 runs to be bowled out for 117.
Off-spinner Sajid Khan delivered a dominant performance, taking four wickets in the second innings to finish with eight wickets in the match, while Ali Usman also took four wickets in the innings.
