KARACHI: Gold prices declined in both the international and Pakistani markets on Tuesday, while silver prices moved higher in the local market.
In the international bullion market, gold fell by $5 per ounce, bringing the global price to $4,055 per ounce.
Tracking the global trend, gold prices also declined in Pakistan. The price of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs500 per tola to Rs427,936, while the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs428 to Rs366,886.
In contrast, silver prices increased in the local market. The price of silver per tola rose by Rs60 to Rs6,351, while the price of 10 grams of silver gained Rs51 to reach Rs5,444.
