Born on July 31, 1893, in the old city area of Karachi, Fatima Jinnah was the youngest sibling of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. After earning a degree in dental surgery from the University of Calcutta in 1919—making her one of the first female dentists in the subcontinent—she chose to stand firmly beside her brother, becoming his strongest pillar of support from 1929 onward.
Throughout the Pakistan Movement, she served as a beacon of light for Muslim women, tirelessly awakening them to the political realities of the subcontinent and mobilizing them for the cause of a separate homeland. Her courage, determination, and exemplary character proved that no obstacle could stand in the way of true resolve.
After the establishment of Pakistan, she founded the Women’s Relief Committee, playing an invaluable role in the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the fledgling state.
