QUETTA: The Balochistan government has officially created a new administrative division, Lasbela Division, as part of efforts to reorganize the province’s administrative structure, according to an official notification.
The new division will comprise the districts of Lasbela, Hub and Awaran.
Under the administrative changes, two union councils of Saruna Sub-Tehsil have been separated from Khuzdar district and reassigned to the new division.
One union council has been merged into Lasbela district, while the other has been incorporated into Hub district, the notification said.
The government has designated Lasbela district as the headquarters of the newly established division.
The notification took effect immediately. Authorities did not specify the reasons behind the administrative restructuring.
