ZHOB; At least three people, including a woman and two children, lost their lives while four others sustained injuries when the roofs of two houses collapsed following heavy rainfall in Zhob district on Wednesday, rescue officials confirmed.
According to reports, the incidents occurred near Bacha Khan School and in Shamsi Colony, where the roofs of two residential houses caved in due to the intense downpour. The victims became trapped under the debris, resulting in the tragic deaths of a woman and two children, while four other people suffered injuries.
Rescue teams and local administration officials promptly arrived at the scene, retrieved the victims from the rubble, and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. After completing medico-legal formalities, the bodies were handed over to the bereaved families.
Authorities stated that further assessment of the damage caused by the rainfall is currently underway.
