PM Shehbaz Expresses Solidarity with Saudi Arabia After Helicopter Crash Kills 14

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday expressed condolences to Saudi Arabia after an Aramco-operated helicopter crashed in Ras Tanura, killing all 14 people on board.

The helicopter went down on Sunday morning in the eastern Saudi city of Ras Tanura, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). All 14 passengers were Saudi nationals, and no one survived. Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.

“Deeply saddened by the tragic helicopter crash in Ras Tanura that claimed the precious lives of 14 Saudi nationals,” Sharif said in a post on X. “Pakistan stands in full solidarity with our Saudi brothers and sisters in this hour of grief.”

The prime minister extended his condolences to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the bereaved families, and the people of Saudi Arabia.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also conveyed his condolences on Sunday.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this tragic accident and their grieving families,” Dar said in a post on X.
