Human Organs and Placenta Smuggling Ring Busted

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has recovered human organs and human flesh from a house in Islamabad’s F-7/1 sector, exposing an international trafficking ring. Acting on a tip-off, authorities raided the residential property, which was being used to pack and store the organs for overseas smuggling.

Five suspects, including three foreign nationals (Chinese citizens) and two Pakistani accomplices working as drivers and supply workers, were arrested at the scene.

According to investigation sources, the suspects purchased human placenta from local hospitals at a rate of 800 PKR per kilogram.

The placenta was then frozen or dried, packaged inside the private residence, and smuggled abroad under the false label of sheep placenta.

During the raid, the FIA recovered a significant quantity of both frozen and dried human placentas from the refrigerators.

The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) has officially confirmed that the recovered organs and tissues are of human origin.

The FIA presented the arrested Pakistani and Chinese nationals before a local court, which granted a four-day physical remand for further interrogation.

The recovered tissues have been sent to a laboratory for detailed forensic analysis.
