Iranian President Pezeshkian Arrives in Pakistan Tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad tomorrow on a one-day official visit to Pakistan.

According to diplomatic sources, the Iranian president will hold important meetings with Pakistan’s top political leadership during his stay.

Sources said President Pezeshkian is expected to meet separately with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The meetings will focus on bilateral relations, the regional situation, and a range of issues of mutual interest.

Diplomatic sources said the recent Iran-U.S. understanding and ongoing negotiations are also expected to feature in the discussions. The two sides will further explore ways to strengthen Pakistan-Iran relations, expand trade, enhance border cooperation, and promote regional peace and stability.

According to sources, the leadership of both countries will also exchange views on recent regional and international developments, as well as various multilateral issues.

President Pezeshkian’s visit comes at a time of heightened diplomatic activity across the region, with the ongoing Iran-US negotiations attracting significant international attention.
