Qatar Denies Involvement in $300 Billion Iran Reconstruction Fund

Qatar Backs Pakistan as Main Mediator Between US and Iran

DOHA: Qatar has distanced itself from the reported $300 billion reconstruction fund for Iran, with officials clarifying that no financial allocation has been made toward the initiative.

Qatari Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Majid Al-Ansari categorically stated that no money has been earmarked in the $300 billion reconstruction plan for Iran, dismissing speculation about Doha’s involvement in the massive post-war rebuilding effort.

Instead, Al-Ansari emphasized Qatar’s continued commitment to dialogue and diplomacy as the primary path to regional stability. He stressed that Doha advocates for more talks and constructive engagement among all parties to ensure lasting security in the Middle East.

The spokesperson also noted that the security landscape in the region has fundamentally shifted following recent conflicts. “The security situation in the region has changed after the war,” he said, underscoring the need for renewed strategies and cooperative frameworks to address emerging threats.

Qatar’s position reflects its long-standing policy of mediation and diplomatic outreach, even as it chooses to remain on the sidelines of the financially ambitious reconstruction plan for Iran.
