DALBANDIN: A key commander of the ‘Fitna al Hindustan’, a term used for the internationally designated terrorist outfit Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), was killed during an intelligence-based operation conducted by security forces in Dalbandin on Thursday.
According to reports, security forces, acting on credible intelligence, carried out a successful intelligence-based operation in the Lagap area of Dalbandin, killing BLA commander Ali Ahmed, alias Nadir, along with one accomplice.
The militants were allegedly involved in extortion, attacks on national assets, kidnappings, targeted killings and the looting of local residents.
According to security sources, FC Balochistan (South) cordoned off the area during the operation. When the suspects, who were riding a motorcycle, opened fire, troops responded, killing both militants.
Security forces recovered a cache of weapons, including a submachine gun, a pistol, multiple magazines, ammunition, bandoliers, a BLA flag, a mobile phone and the motorcycle used by the suspects.
Operations against other militants in the area are continuing.
Earlier this week, Security Forces launched a series of coordinated intelligence-based operations across multiple districts of Balochistan, including Mastung, Nushki, Zehri, Khuzdar, and Kech and killed more than 17 terrorists of Fitna al Hindustan.
According to the ISPR, during these high-intensity operations, troops effectively targeted and engaged multiple terrorist hideouts.
After fierce exchanges of fire, seventeen terrorists belonging to the Indian-sponsored group Fitna-al-Hindustan were killed, delivering a severe blow to the operational networks in the region.
