PTI Forms Accountability Committees to Curb Corruption in KP

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has formed special accountability committees at regional levels in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to strengthen internal oversight and organisational discipline.

Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor and PTI leader Shah Farman, who once announced quitting politics after May 9 riots , issued a formal notification regarding the decision.

According to the notification, the accountability committees will operate across various divisions and districts of the province. They will review organizational matters and address complaints within the party structure.

The committees have been established in Peshawar, Hazara, Malakand and southern districts. They will monitor internal issues and prepare detailed reports for party leadership.

Party sources said the move aims to improve organizational discipline, ensure timely resolution of grievances and strengthen the internal accountability process.

The committees will submit their findings and recommendations to the party leadership, which will decide further action based on their reports.
