ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has issued an official clarification strongly rejecting fake news circulating on social media regarding a security breach in its database.
According to an official notification released by the HEC, featured in image_d9699d.png, the commission’s Cyber Security Operations Center launched an immediate investigation into the matter.
The technical review confirmed that the sample records circulating online do not belong to the HEC’s Degree Attestation System.
The HEC has strongly advised the public, students, and stakeholders to remain vigilant against misinformation and disregard unverified news.

The commission urged citizens to rely exclusively on official HEC channels for authentic updates and to refrain from spreading misleading or baseless information online.
