MINA : Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Interior, Mohsin Naqvi, held a high-level meeting with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef, to discuss bilateral relations, internal security, and the evolving situation in the Middle East.
During the meeting, both leaders exchanged warm Eid-ul-Adha greetings and well wishes, while the Saudi Interior Minister also congratulated Naqvi on performing Hajj.
Minister Naqvi highly commended the Saudi government for making exceptional arrangements for the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
According to the official joint statement, the meeting yielded significant agreements to further strengthen security cooperation between the two nations.
It was decided that 200 personnel from Pakistan’s Federal Constabulary Special Diplomatic Protection Unit will undergo specialized training in Saudi Arabia.
Furthermore, a high-level delegation from the Saudi Ministry of Interior is scheduled to visit Pakistan soon to explore additional avenues for mutual cooperation.
The two ministers also reviewed the current regional landscape, with Prince Abdulaziz praising Pakistan’s consistently positive role in de-escalating regional tensions.
