QUETTA: The journalist with his family, including three Frontier Corps (FC) personnel, women, and children, were martyred in a deadly blast that shocked the province and raised serious concerns over the security situation in the region.

The explosion occurred in a crowded area near Chaman Phattak, causing heavy casualties and injuries. The rescue teams and law enforcement agencies immediately reached the site and shifted the injured and deceased to nearby hospitals.

In this regard, making the tragedy even more heartbreaking for the media community and local residents. The identities of several victims are still being confirmed, while authorities continue rescue and relief efforts.

The Government of Balochistan issued an official statement condemning the incident and expressing grief over the loss of innocent lives. The Aide to the Chief Minister of Balochistan termed the attack an act of “Fitna Al Hindustan” and vowed strict action against those involved.

In his statement, the provincial official said that the government would not forget this tragic incident and would continue operations against terrorists until the last militant is eliminated from Balochistan. He further stated that enemies of peace and stability would not be allowed to succeed in their intentions.

Security agencies have launched an investigation into the blast, while additional security measures have been implemented in sensitive areas of Quetta. Authorities have appealed to the public to remain calm and cooperate with law enforcement agencies during the investigation process.

The incident once again underlines the ongoing security challenges faced by Balochistan and the urgent need for collective efforts to maintain peace and protect innocent civilians from terrorism.
