WASHINGTON D.C. : Heavy gunfire erupted near the White House on Saturday evening, prompting immediate lockdown of the complex and the evacuation of President Donald Trump to a secure location. The attacker was killed by Secret Service personnel before he could enter the White House, according to US media reports.
Gunshots were heard outside the presidential residence, initially with no clear information on who fired or why. However, sources confirmed that Secret Service agents retaliated swiftly, neutralizing the assailant. Two other individuals were reported injured in the shooting incident.
Following the gunfire, the White House was placed under immediate lockdown. A heavy contingent of police was deployed around the complex, with Secret Service snipers taking positions on the roof of the White House.
