LAHORE: In a startling case of alleged institutional collusion, officials of the Lahore Police have been accused of honey-trapping a citizen in collaboration with a group of eunuchs, according to a formal police report.
The incident came to light after a resident of Kasur was allegedly lured to a flat in the Kot Lakhpat area of Lahore. Police sources stated that two eunuchs befriended the victim through a honey-trap scheme, inviting him to their flat. Once inside, the two eunuchs, along with their accomplices, allegedly tortured the man and forcibly took Rs 40,000 in cash from him.
In a shocking twist, four police officials reportedly arrived at the flat during the incident. Instead of helping the victim, the officers allegedly threatened him and proceeded to snatch a copy of his identity card along with an additional Rs 11,000 in cash.
Following a formal complaint, the police have registered a case against the accused. Authorities have arrested four police constables identified as Waqas, Suleman, Umair, and Irfan. Meanwhile, raids are underway to arrest five named eunuchs who remain at large.
