QEUTTA: Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Chamalang area of Balochistan following confirmed reports of terrorists and extortionists targeting the mining sector.
During the operation, a heavy exchange of fire took place between the security personnel and the militants.
Eight terrorists were killed in the encounter. Major Tauseef and four soldiers of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom while fighting gallantly against the attackers.
Security forces are currently pursuing the remaining terrorists who fled the scene, and a comprehensive clearance and search operation is underway in the area. Forces remain on high alert as these operations continue to eliminate terrorism from Balochistan.
