Details of proposed Iran-US deal revealed

The fresh details have emerged regarding new ceasefire proposals between the United States and Iran, aimed at reducing tensions in the Middle East and restoring regional stability.

The proposed agreement is being prepared in the form of a memorandum of understanding. The initiative is intended to ease escalating tensions in the region and create conditions for diplomatic engagement between both sides.

The proposed American plan reportedly consists of three major phases. The first phase includes a formal declaration announcing the end of hostilities and military escalation. The second phase focuses on restoring safe maritime navigation through the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, which plays a key role in global oil transportation.

The third phase would involve the beginning of a new round of negotiations between Washington and Tehran.

Meanwhile, regional tensions continue to remain high following recent statements by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards. Iranian officials warned that if Iranian oil tankers come under attack, American military installations in the region could become targets in response.

The statement has further mentioned concerns about security in Gulf waters and the possible impact on international energy supplies. In this regard, Washington has also prepared a 14-point framework as part of the broader proposal.

Iran would be required to halt uranium enrichment activities for the next 12 years and provide assurances that it would not pursue the development of nuclear weapons.

In addition, Iran may also be asked to hand over its stockpile of uranium enriched to 60 percent purity.
