Islamabad: The National Disaster Management Authority has issued an alert for rain and hailstorms expected in the upper and central parts of the country within the next 12 to 24 hours.
According to the report, areas in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan may experience rainfall and hail.
The report also warned of possible glacial lake outburst floods due to melting glaciers.
The authority has advised the public to avoid staying near glacial lakes during this period.
