LAHORE: Four people were killed and two others were injured in a shooting incident in the Mazang area of Lahore, police said.
The victims included a woman and her two children. The attacker later died by suicide, according to initial findings.
The deceased were identified as Ayesha, 35, and her children, Mufarah, 14, and Muneeb, 12. The suspected attacker, identified as Shahid, 45, was also among the dead.
Two individuals, identified as Manahil, 8, and Samna, 18, were reported injured.
The shooting was carried out by the suspect, who opened fire on the victims before taking his own life, police said.
The bodies were shifted to a hospital for post-mortem examination.
The area was gripped by fear following the incident. An investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack, officials added.
