Intense heat with load shedding hits Balochistan

QUETTA: With the intense heat rising across Balochistan, prolonged scheduled and unscheduled load shedding has also begun in Quetta and across the province.

According to a private TV channel, in the provincial capital Quetta, six to eight hours of load shedding has become a daily routine.

Similarly, in other parts of Balochistan, electricity outages continue for 12 to 16 hours, while rural areas are facing 18 to 20 hours of load shedding.

With the arrival of summer, daytime temperatures have started reaching up to 45 degrees Celsius.

Combined with power outages, people are suffering from double hardship.

Just yesterday, the temperature in Turbat rose to 46 degrees Celsius.
