MASTUNG : Unknown armed men took several employees of the Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) hostage and fled after snatching their vehicles in the Siddiqabad area of Mastung on Wednesday, officials said.
According to the district administration, the attackers seized a truck, a crane, and a pickup vehicle belonging to QESCO staff before escaping the scene. The hostages were later released unharmed, though authorities have not yet confirmed their exact number.
As soon as the incident was reported, a large contingent of police and security forces reached the spot and cordoned off the entire area. A search operation has been launched to arrest the accused, officials added.
No group has immediately claimed responsibility for the attack. Further investigation is underway.
