Information Ministry Turns Down Afghanistan’s Attack Claims

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in Islamabad has stated that the Afghan government’s claim regarding an attack on Syed Jamaluddin University is completely fabricated. In an official statement, the ministry said that Afghan media is spreading baseless propaganda about imaginary attacks in Kunar.

The statement added that the Afghan Taliban regime has nothing to offer its people in terms of governance, relief, or basic public services.

It said Afghan media, with Indian backing, is running anti-Pakistan narratives as part of a wider propaganda campaign supported by Indian machinery.

The ministry further said that Pakistan carries out successful intelligence-based operations only against militant hideouts and not against civilian institutions.

It strongly rejected claims of any attack on the university, calling them entirely false and aimed at hiding terrorist safe havens and activities.

It was also claimed that the university and nearby residential areas were targeted and that civilians were killed, but the ministry described all such reports as false and based on lies.
