The police station is located 4 kilometers from Dhadar Circuit House and 6 kilometers from Bolan Weir, where the headquarters of 152 Air Defence Battalion is situated.
Police personnel responded immediately within their capacity, after which two Counter Terrorism teams under the Commanding Officer of 152 Light Air Defence Regiment reached the site, reinforced the police station, and launched a strong counter-operation.
Due to the swift and effective engagement by security forces, the attackers were forced to retreat. VTOL engagement was also carried out against the fleeing militants.
As a result of the operation, 3 to 4 militants were killed.
Some bodies and injured militants were taken away by the fleeing attackers; however, one dead body along with a weapon was recovered from the scene. On the security side, one police official was martyred while four others were injured and shifted to CMH Sibbi for medical treatment.
Security forces have launched a sanitization operation in the area, and effective blockades have been established on all possible escape routes.
