Major Crash Near Pentagon Injures 23

WASHINGTON: A major accident near the Pentagon in the United States caused panic among security officials, leading to increased security measures in the red zone area.

According to international media reports, the serious incident occurred at around 7:20 a.m., and the exact cause has not yet been determined. Emergency services, fire brigades, and ambulances were quickly seen rushing to the scene.

Conflicting reports initially emerged about the nature of the accident.

However, the Pentagon Force Protection Agency later confirmed that buses from OmniRide and Fairfax Connector collided on the Metro Access Road near the Pentagon.

A total of 23 people, including 10 military personnel, were injured and shifted to nearby hospitals for medical examination, while 5 others were treated at the scene and released.

Security officials stated that an investigation has been launched, but the immediate cause of the crash remains unclear.
