KARACHI: Islamabad United qualified for the playoff stage after defeating Hyderabad Kings by 8 wickets.
Chasing a target of 81 runs set by Hyderabad Kings, Islamabad United comfortably reached the target in just 6.4 overs with the loss of only two wickets. Sameer Minhas scored 27 runs, while Mohsin Riaz played an impressive innings of 42 runs.
Earlier, Hyderabad Kings were bowled out for just 80 runs in 16 overs.
Saim Ayub and Kusal Perera managed to score 12 runs each, while Moez Sadaqat was dismissed for zero, Glenn Maxwell scored 1 run, and Labuschagne added only 5 runs.
For Islamabad United, Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, and Richard Gleeson each took 3 wickets and played a key role in restricting the opposition.
