Pakistan, Iran Foreign Ministers Discuss Ceasefire, Regional Situation in Phone Call

ISLAMABAD: A telephone call was held between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, officials said.

Regional developments, ceasefire efforts, and ongoing diplomacy were discussed during the conversation, according to Pakistan’s Foreign Office.

Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in the context of the United States–Iran situation were also reviewed.

It was stated by Dar that sustained dialogue and diplomatic engagement were essential for lasting peace and stability. The need for resolving outstanding issues through talks was emphasized.

Pakistan’s constructive role in the region was acknowledged by Araghchi, officials said.

Both sides agreed that close contact would be maintained.
