PESHAWAR: The state-of-the-art digitalized driving license branch equipped with modern facilities has been inaugurated in Peshawar, indicating a significant step toward improving public service delivery in the province.
The inauguration ceremony was held at the Traffic Headquarters Peshawar, where Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zulfiqar Hameed, formally opened the new facility.
The initiative has been introduced under a “one-window operation” system aimed at providing all essential services related to driving licenses under a single roof.
The newly established branch is designed to streamline the licensing process and eliminate the inconvenience faced by citizens who previously had to visit multiple offices for different stages of the procedure.
In this regard, IG Zulfiqar Hameed focused on that simplifying and modernizing the licensing process is a top priority for the police department. He stated that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to leveraging technology to enhance public convenience and institutional transparency.
“Our objective is to make the issuance of driving licenses easier, faster, and more transparent,” he said. “We are committed to encouraging responsible drivers who follow traffic laws and to ensuring road safety across the province.”
The launch of this modern facility represents a broader effort by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police to adopt innovative solutions and improve governance through technology. Citizens have welcomed the move, expressing hope that such initiatives will continue to enhance efficiency and convenience in public services.
