BAHAWALPUR: Three members of the same family have died in Ahmedpur East after consuming contaminated milk.
Two children lost their lives earlier after drinking the harmful milk in the Gilani Shams Bagh area of Uch Sharif, a suburb of Ahmedpur East.
Their father, Anwar, was rushed to Bahawalpur Hospital in critical condition, where he also passed away.
Following the incident, police have launched an investigation.
Meanwhile, the DG Food Authority has taken serious notice of the matter and dispatched the Director Operations (South) to the spot.
Milk samples have been collected and sent to the laboratory for testing.
The Food Safety team will submit its report after initial investigations.
