TEHRAN: According to American media, the United States and Iran are close to reaching a framework agreement aimed at ending the conflict.

This progress was reportedly made during talks held on Tuesday, bringing both sides closer to a potential resolution.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei stated that communication between the US and Iran has been ongoing through Pakistan, with multiple exchanges of messages after the Iranian delegation returned.

Meanwhile, US Vice President JD Vance said that Donald Trump is seeking a comprehensive deal with Iran, adding that although a ceasefire is holding and negotiations are progressing, trust cannot be rebuilt overnight despite significant diplomatic breakthroughs.
